The Rag Place is an industry leader in the manufacture and supply of set lighting technical fabrics for the motion picture, television and theatrical industries. We staff two production floors, and have one of the largest rental inventories in Hollywood.
We've assisted many design and production teams on a wide range of projects facing critical creative, technical and budget considerations. Recent collaborations include working with crew leaders and visual effects experts on Avatar, Surrogates, Shutter Island, Ironman, and Thor.
Our signature tagline ,"What you can imagine, we can create", is exemplified by these and other groundbreaking challenges. We've constructed a 70' x 350' exterior blue screen wall for Gangs of New York and created 200,000 square feet of coved Ultrabounce for The Terminal. Other complex solutions can be seen vividly brought to life on the sets of 300, Minority Report and the ongoing franchises for Spiderman, The Matrix and Iron Man.

We submit all of our products to rigorous testing so that our clients' crucial decisions on or off set can be made with confidence.
Pasquale ("Pat") Caputo is our President, establishing The Rag Place more than twenty years ago. With family in the textile business in New York, and an extensive early career in tv, film and commercial projects, he combined these two disciplines to identify exciting new solutions for on-set lighting and light-modifying fabrics.
Our staff includes a team of knowledgeable fabricators and an administrative support staff with many years of experience in meeting the needs of the fast-paced businesses for whom we provide solutions.
